  • Ceiling Fan Installation

We install, upgrade and replace ceiling fans! Air circulation is just as important as controlling relative temperature. While a fan won’t actually cool down a room, the moving air helps evaporate water from surfaces, cooling them off. Even in the winter, moving air is necessary to keep heat distributed around a room instead of in a single spot, and ceiling fans are extremely effective for that. In fact, using a ceiling fan can help to drive down cooling and heating costs every month. Using a ceiling fan allows you to adjust the thermostat by a few degrees, which can save a substantial amount on your utilities every month (since a ceiling fan motor uses less energy than your heating and cooling system).

  • Electrical Panel

For most of us, the circuit breaker is merely a fail-safe. It’s the box that protects from overloaded circuits and is the first stop on restoring power when the microwave trips the power. But your electrical panel does more than just act as a safety circuit for the appliances in your home. Electrical panels separate power in your home to help balance out the wiring systems inside. Without an electrical panel, everything would be on the same wire, subject to the same power draw current level. Not everything can handle the same amount of current flowing through it. By splitting up these circuits at the electrical panel, you can split high-load devices from the low power phone charges and lamps, protecting them from damage.

  • CO Detectors & Alarms

Safety is paramount in your home. You spend a lot of time at home, and your most vulnerable hours (when you’re asleep and can’t recognize danger) are spent there. Early detection of threats such as carbon monoxide (an invisible and odorless gas) or fire is essential to survival for you and your family.

  • Surge Protection

Electricity can be dangerous. Power surges from lightning or line issues have the potential to damage sensitive equipment or costly appliances such as TV’s. At the same time, every day usage of common electrical products (e.g. hair dryers, power tools, microwaves) can lead to similar surges or increased power loads that can cause dangerous arcs or ground shorts which are dangerous to people.

  • Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters

This is the most common type of electrical circuit protector you’ll see. In fact, GFCIs are often built into the plugs of space heaters, hair dryers, and other high-load electrical appliances. The National Electric Code requires GFCIs to be built into any electrical receptacles or outlets that may come into contact with water or be used for high-load appliance (such as power tools). GFCIs are safety devices that disconnect the circuit when they detect a sudden short running to ground. A short in the electrical circuit will overload your circuit breaker but it also has the potential to deliver a deadly electrical shock or start an electrical fire before the breaker has a chance to trip. The GFCI measures the amount of current flowing into an outlet and compares it to the current flowing out back out of the outlet. When an electrical short occurs (either because an electrical contact connects with the outlet’s frame or water creates a short), the current levels between the input and the output of the electrical receptacle become different and the GFCI trips, disconnecting the circuit. Don’t forget to test you’re the GFCI outlets in your home at least once a month. Simply press the “test” button. If the reset button pops out with a loud click, then your interrupter works perfectly. Otherwise, get the outlet replaced immediately.
